If you've never been to the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona, Queens, come on out this weekend. In 1943, Louis and his wife, Lucille, moved into the house, where they lived for the remainder of their lives. In her will, Lucille left the house to the City of New York to be made into museum. No one has lived in the house since the Armstrongs, and the house and its furnishings remain very much as they were during Louis and Lucille's lifetime.

Trumpeters Eddie Allen, Cecil Bridgewater, and James Zollar will be playing in the Japanese garden on Sunday at 2pm, kicking off the Festival of New Trumpet Music with an original re-imagining of Louis.
