Private Music, for brass quintet, was written for Brian McWhorter and the Extension Ensemble in the summer of 2001. It was first recorded on their album, New York Presence. At the time there were plans to add a drummer for this piece, but in the end the group performed the piece as written. The score is available in transposed and non-transposed versions.
