Dreams, Old, New and Otherwise Edition.

In this episode of A Noise From the Deep we talk about the musical scene in New York in the 1980s with Marietta Drummond. Marietta is a pianist and longtime listener and lover of music. She booked and managed Old and New Dreams, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, Don Cherry, and Liberation Music Orchestra for a time during this period. Marietta was also the musical curator for programs at Cathedral St. John The Divine. She has a lot of great things to say about these musicians, as well as Don Pullen, Carlos Ward, Abdullah Ibrahim, Hank Jones, Mary Lou Williams and others.
