Nice to see so many Banff attendees at the Han Bennink shows. To give some idea of this year’s program, see the list below. There is also a lot of information at the Banff site, linked here: Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music is in its 32nd year, and I am proud to once again serve as the artistic director. It’s a thrill to be able to invite so many great musicians to share what they do. The workshop takes place over three weeks in the idyllic surroundings of Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies.

This is a powerful chance to work hands-on with the many visiting artists and participants on composition, improvisation, and general musical concepts. As always, I am excited about the program this year and encourage those interested to apply.
