Here’s an interesting match:

Traditional Thai dancing set to trumpeter Mark Isham’s theme ‘Flames’, from the 2004 film Crash. In looking for film/score clips to post I came across this and couldn’t resist. Anyone want to send some more great Isham clips?

Mark Isham has had a long a multifarious career in music and is currently one of the busiest composers in Hollywood. FONT has invited him to New York, where he’ll be performing this Tuesday with Wilco’s guitarist Nels Cline, DJ Tyler Parkinson, and percussionist Clarence Penn at DROM in the East Village. The group will play new electro-acoustic pieces, as well as selections from his film music, along with video projections.

  1. Howdy folks,

re: FONT has invited him (i.e. Mark Isham) to New York, where he’ll be performing this Tuesday with Wilco’s guitarist Nels Cline, DJ Tyler Parkinson, and percussionist Clarence Penn at DROM in the East Village.

is there anybody out there who is willing and able to tell me how and where to get a recording of this performance, particularly

    Part 1

consisting of a sublime interpretation of “The Cooler”?

Even though it seemed as if Mark’s micro wasn’t working correctly, I’ve just seen it the other day on youtube, I fell instantly in love with this particular version of “The Cooler”. It’s simply awsome!

Please, anybody help me! …and, er, by the way, please send your replies to

    lustruck@yahoo.de

    Thanks in advance,

    best

    Lutz
