Many of you know that I highly recommend Laurie Frink — I still go to her when I have questions about trumpet technique, practice routine, travel woes, well, just about anything related to being a better player and keeping my job as a trumpeter… She teaches out of New York, and I’ve sent many, many people her way. (Full disclosure — I don’t get any commission on this, but I do enjoy hearing happier trumpet playing).

Now Laurie has announced that she is available for lessons via the internet. With Skype and a cameraphone, she’ll take students from anywhere in the world! Some of you have heard the story of my long distance telephone lesson with Laurie Frink years ago. Worked for me. It was on the day Tiny Bell Trio recorded Constellations!
