Greenleaf Music’s partner online music store, musicstem.com, is proud to announe the addition of Strick Muzik to its roster of distributed labels. Strick Muzik is a new jazz label launched by New York saxophonist Marcus Strickland who is best known for his long-time assocation with the great drummer Roy Haynes and as part of Dave Douglas’ Keystone project. The first release on Strick Muzic, Quartets-Twi Life, is now available in CD and MP3 formats at musicstem.com.

Twi-Life, a double disc set, features Marcus Strickland accompanied by some of New York’s finest young jazz artists including pianist Robert Glasper and drummer EJ Strickland (Marcus’ brother). Jazz Times has said of Marcus: “Strickland has started to turn heads in the most thriving but most competitive jazz scene on the planet … his tone: liquid and luminous, yet forceful and exact.” We couldn’t agree more. Read about Marcus and check out samples of Twi-Life here.
