Dave Douglas Quintet with Chris Potter, Uri Caine, James Genus, and Clarence Penn plays a modern American musical theater classic written by Dave’s high school buddy Adam Guettal. Adam and Dave played together in a band called The Abstract Truth in 1980/81. Adam is now huge, the multi-Tony-winning composer of The Light in the Piazza and other great contemporary music theater works. Dave still plays trumpet.
