I recently came across some very interesting visual music artists the other day, Abstract Birds and Quayola who have created a software that “generates real-time graphics aimed at visualizing sound.” This is a remarkable field in new media.  In the video above the visual artists collaborated with musicians from the renowned IRCAM.

cymatics and vibration fascination

Sound, vibration and matter are synonymous.  The study of Cymatics, “bringing matter to life with sound” is proof.  Dr. Hans Jenny was on of the first scientists who closely documented this phenomena, and by watching his videos we can find limitless inspiration and unearth yet another glimpse into nature’s awesomeness:
