They’re Cutting All Around

OK, so the Senate is now in “compromise” mode. Meaning they are cutting many of the social support mechanisms out of the plan. Arts are gone. (Ironic detail: Gillibrand voted to keep arts funding, Schumer voted to cut it off). And not just arts… It’s infuriating how much meaningful social aid is gone.

It’s not too late. For a final bill to pass, more consultation (between Senate, House, and White House) is necessary. Send a message this weekend to your representatives. They need to hear pressure from us if they’re going to stand up and do the right thing. This web site takes you directly to email, snail mail, and telephone contacts for your area.
