Words by Katharina A. von Schlegel, adapted by Aoife O’Donovan, music by Jean Sibelius, arranged by Dave Douglas.

Be still, my soul: for God is on your side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Trust in your God, your savior and your guide
Who through all changes faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: your best, your heavenly friend
Through thorny waves leads to a peaceful land.

Be still, my soul: for God will undertake
To guide the future surely as the past
Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and wind shall know
The voice that calmed them in this world will roar

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall dwell with God for evermore
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.

  6. It shines and glitters. I love the feeling I love the vocals I love everything about this clip And what I love most is, that it looks like absolutelly no effort. (But I just listened to 'Bow river falls'. I'm not objective).

  7. Yep (i listen to that song for a 3 time) this is why I love Douglas, and come back to his things once in a while: HIS COOLNESS, undenyable reign of COOLNESS. When you ask me, about him I say: he's like Miles, but much closer to me.
